ExperienceCurrently, I am an adjunct instructor at a local community college in the San Antonio area. I worked for a literacy agency in Baton Rouge, LA for 4 1/2 years, managing the ESL program and teaching ESL classes. I have experience working with students from over 20 different countries around the world. While I do not speak another language in addition to English, I have not had difficulty working with any student. I have some knowledge of Spanish and Chinese pronunciation, as I have studied these languages in High School or College. I would like to continue working and tutoring international students because it is my passion. I love learning about other countries, customs, and people. I have attended numerous professional development seminars about working with adult students, teaching ESL/ELL, techniques for working with students with LD, etc.
HobbiesI am married with a three year old son. I love cooking, especially international dishes. I also love gardening and makeup. I worked as a makeup artist for over 10 years in LA, MS, and TX. I also have 8 years experience in the restaurant industry.
