Univeristy of Texas at San Antonio - BA, Criminal Justice/Forensic Science
Experience
I have been a tutoring students since 2006. In 2007, I received my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science from the University of Texas in San Antonio. I love to teach hard sciences, such as physics and chemistry. My college professor made chemistry fun and interesting, so that I found the subjects very enjoyable. What makes me a great tutor is I tailor lesson plans that will allow the maximum concentration level for each student. I teach students to have a better grasp of the subject. With special needs students, I figure out the best way to teach them is to stay flexible and allow the student to have some freedom when he or she is having a problem related to their disability.I tutor students in physics, basic math and algebra, reading comprehension, and chemistry, from kindergarten level through college level. I also worked as a study coach, which allows me to teach study skills, organization, and time management. When I am not tutoring you can find me enjoying volunteer work, reading, outdoor activities, horseback riding, and spending quality time with my family.
