Experience
I initially struggled with academics in school, but I was very lucky to have dedicated and passionate teachers who helped me learn to love education. Now, as a tutor and educator myself, I like to think that I'm "paying it forward." When I work with tutoring students, I use an informal approach to motivation and assessment of subjects, although I sometimes include formal metrics as well. My goal is to keep students inspired by the material, even if the subject is a difficult one for them, because I believe everyone can learn to love the process of learning. I received a bachelor's in Chemistry and a master's in Management, then went on to join the Air Force for many years. I have also worked in the corporate arena with large medical companies like Bayer Healthcare and Siemens Medical Diagnostics. My tutoring subjects are English, Mathematics, and Science. I teach individuals and groups, especially at the high school education level. However, I've also led college students and groups of adults in a range of subjects from educational topics to business presentations. In my free time, I enjoy different forms of artistic expression. I am into music, culture, history, art, and food. I also enjoy traveling.
