I love languages, and I've been passionate about tutoring people for years now. Being a tutor, I view myself as a coach. I've coached students of all ages in many aspects of life. I've coached figure skating, taught English as a second language, tutored Japanese, and helped people with basic life skills. I particularly enjoy helping people with their Japanese language skills. I find the culture and language fascinating, and I love sharing my interest in Japan with others. While I was a student at the University of Alberta I studied Japanese. I was also fortunate enough to travel abroad and study the language in Japan through an international school. I've been taught by teachers here in the U.S. and by native Japanese speakers in Japan. It is a privilege to work with students on their Japanese language skills. I look forward to meeting and coaching eager students! When I'm not studying Japanese language and culture or tutoring, I enjoy going for runs, reading interesting books, and learning about law.
