When I was in eighth grade, I discovered my passion for mathematics. My pre-algebra class ended up being super easy for me, however, I could see it was stressing my peers out. Seeing them struggle, I wanted to jump into action and I decided that I wanted to teach math. I wanted to show people that math isn't as intimidating as they think and they can succeed in it with the right effort and attitude. After I graduated from high school, I earned a Bachelor of Mathematics. I have also taught high school level math for over six years. I have taught math models, algebra, and geometry. Mostly, however, I taught algebra one to freshmen. After teaching, I decided to begin private tutoring. I can help with algebra one and two, primary and junior high math, and geometry. I also love to help with test prep. My favorite subject to tutor is college algebra. My tutoring style is to find out how each person learns the best and teach using methods that compliment that style. I believe that this individualized approach to teaching allows students to grasp the concepts quicker. I also explain things in extreme detail, so the student gets all of the information necessary. When I am not tutoring, you can find me reading, watching TV, and playing computer games.
