Matthew T.
Private tutor in San Antonio, TX
Education
I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Math and Computer Science. Afterwards, I joined a Catholic seminary for a year and a half, then left and have tried to start my own business as well as learning through less formal/costly means than college (such as by reading books).
Experience
I want to tutor in order to find better ways of teaching gradeschool math as I have seen multiple inspiring examples on what it could look like. My goal is to share such ideas on YouTube. I do have a channel but I am not allowed to share it here due to it being "commercial use". If you are considering me as a tutor through Unversity Tutor and want to see some of my (video) work before deciding, I don't think University Tutor would mind if you asked me for it. I aim to tutor on concepts that you or others find difficult. I don't want to tutor for the sake of being comprehensive or reviewing, as my goal is to find newer, better ways of teaching a concept by doing my own thinking and researching before meeting and then share what I find. Included here are easier ways to memorize a concept.

Hobbies
I enjoy learning from the best. I learn from reading books and watching videos on various topics from math to business to psychology to healthy living habits, and I find them relevant and useful to reaching my long-term goals. I would love to share some of those ideas if you are interested and ask me for them. Some ideas you particularly might find useful are on time management and on learning how to learn more effectively and quickly. If you're considering me, feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Please do contact me in order to schedule a lesson. I will also need some time to do research and think about that topic before meeting.
