Education

I graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 2015 with a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Additionally, I have completed the FE in Chemical Engineering. During my time at Johns Hopkins, I was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, worked in multiple research laboratories, and was on the volleyball team.

Experience

I became an engineer because I love math, science, and problem solving in general. Returning to the elementary roots of my degree with students to help them understand their courses in a way that will ‘stick’ long term is something I’m very passionate about. Anyone can memorize, but I want students to really understand what they’re doing until they create long lasting skills. I have tutored students throughout the past 15 years in multiple subjects. My most recent experience helped a student raise his grade in Algebra I from a high C to an A in just a couple months of tutoring. In high school, I scored a 33 on the ACT and a 760 on the Math 2 SAT subject test. Outside of tutoring, I have worked in both manufacturing and cancer research. I have been published in several medical journals for my research at Johns Hopkins in cancer research and DNA nanotechnology. I have also had the wonderful experience of working in manufacturing for several years. In my current job, I design and optimize manufacturing processes to create automotive air conditioners for classic cars.
