St-Petersburg State University, Russia - Masters, Geography

My first priority in teaching students is to ensure their complete comprehension of the material. It is important for my students to not only understand the steps taken to solve a problem, but to also understand why each step is necessary. When working with students, I take into account their individual learning styles and use several types of methods to make sure that I am teaching in the most effective manner possible for each student. I am a Math interventionist, with more than five years of teaching experience at the middle school level. I currently work as a Math teacher for grades three through seven. In addition to working with elementary and middle school students in topics related to Math, I am also interested in tutoring Russian. I attended St. Petersburg State University in Russia, where I completed a master's degree in Geography and Education. Some of my personal interests are exercising, reading, and traveling.
