I received my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Campinas in Brazil. Being a native Brazilian, I am comfortable teaching students Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and English. Throughout my tutoring career, I have primarily taught Math, including Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. I believe that a student's success is also my success. Because of this, I seek perfection in everything I do. I believe that there is a difference between learning and just memorizing material. Therefore, while tutoring a student, I like to focus on truly understanding the material. I like to challenge the student to ensure he or she truly understands what we are learning as well as why it is important. I know that each student has a different personality. Because of this, I try different methods of teaching until I find one that works. I believe it is important that a student is confident in their work. I like to encourage my students as well as push them. I know that with patience and hard work, each student can find a solution and understand the problem-solving process. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, playing the piano, and cooking.
