I recently graduated from Texas A&M College Station with a bachelor's degree in Meteorology. Here, I minored in Math and also tutored my peers to help them understand the materials they were learning in school. My best subjects are Math and Science, so I tutor Pre-Algebra/Algebra and also Pre-Calculus/Calculus as well as Astronomy. While in a college Astronomy class, I used images and charts to simplify the subject matter, as I was very active in this course. Integrating visuals into a lesson is something I like to do. I can also simplify a problem so the student has an easier time processing the topic. My process is effective whether I am teaching basic elementary/middle school math or up to advanced Calculus and Differential Equations, Chemistry, or Physics.The ability to teach is enjoyable because students are better able to learn if you are good at it. Living in San Antonio, Texas, I have played the guitar on and off for at least five years, in addition to tutoring and studying on my own. I believe that playing an instrument is like exercise for the brain and can actually lead on to getting higher grades in classes no matter what the subject.
