Private tutor in San Antonio, TX
University of Houston - BS, Psychology
I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Math and Psychology. I received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. I also minored in Human Development and Family Studies. My career goal is to become either a middle school or high school math teacher. While I do not have any formal tutoring experience, I have helped my friends with Algebra and Calculus. While I am capable of teaching Grammar, Psychology, and Writing, my preferred subject is math. My philosophy as a tutor is to help students become interested in the subject. If a student is actually interested in a subject, he or she is much more likely to put in the effort needed to understand it. I also take the approach of helping students through a problem step by step. This enables me to fix any errors along the way. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and dislike receiving grades lower than an A. In my free time, I like to read, play soccer, and watch horror movies. I also enjoy running, learning, and listening to country music. Christianity is also very important to me. I conduct a Bible study and regularly attend church.
