Experience
Having been a tutor for six years, and a high school biology and Spanish teacher, I understand that every student approaches learning differently. Each student has different strengths and weaknesses, and they deserve to be taught in the way that helps them to learn best. I love to tutor students in biology and chemistry, but I also enjoy helping students with microbiology, anatomy & physiology, algebra I, geometry and precalculus. The sciences are my passion, but I do love math too. I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students. I can help students struggling with classes, or I can work with them to do well on tests like the ACT.I attended Union University, where I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I minored in chemistry and Spanish literature. I will be teaching 10th grade chemistry in the coming school year and truly look forward to it.During my downtime, I tour and explore San Antonio, TX. I love to visit the different parks the region has to offer, whether they are state parks, or the smaller local ones. I love the outdoors. One of my favorite activities involves my interest in aviation; I like to fly with my husband. I also play piano and read.
