Experience
I have a level of personal commitment and passion to my students and junior associates that is unrivaled as a long-time tutor for eight years and veteran of the United States Marine Corps. I was honorably discharged in November of 2015 and received a variety of recognition for my five years of service, to include a Naval Achievement Medal. I have been writing and editing professionally for six years. While I would call that my real strength, I can tutor in Spanish, English composition and literature, political science, international law, Latin American history, US history, and most other arts. I am currently pursuing my BA, after a five-year hiatus from university, in Intelligence studies with a minor in Latin American studies. However, during my enlistment, I accrued roughly 100 credit hours toward my BA and 1400 classroom hours in the National Cryptologic School. I am extremely dedicated to my own professional development and ongoing education and I find both teaching and mentoring students to be incredibly fulfilling.

Hobbies
I am currently employed as a government contractor on Ft. Sam Houston. Outside of the professional realm, I live alone with my two dogs right now (Wally the pitbull and Olive the blue heeler) while my husband is forward-deployed to Japan for the next two years. I love to read, write creatively, and I am studying international law in my spare time. That sounds dry, but my goal is to shift my career and eventually become the next Secretary General of the United Nations so I can make a real, wide-reaching positive impact on the world. I also compete in the Scottish Highland games in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois with my father and uncle to stay close to both my family and heritage as a first-generation American. I hope to hear from you soon!
