I have an Associates of Arts in Journalism from San Antonio College, and a Bachelor's in English from Texas State University! I have also studied French and Japanese for about two years apiece (reading and writing) with native speakers, and took seven years of symphonic/marching band as a trombonist. I scored a 1300 on the old 1600-scale SAT, with a 730 in Verbal, so my English skills are very, very strong!
Experience
I've helped my friends' kids work on their reading and basic vocabulary (mostly kinder through 5th) and have been an editor on several online forums for many years! I am a stay-at-home mom and would love to help kids who are able to take advantage of online tutoring; I have a knack for making the work feel more relevant and less boring than what they'd usually see in school (i.e. word problems based on their favorite cartoon or video game).
