I have a bachelor's in Mathematics and a master's in Biochemistry. I believe in supplying a firm foundation in Chemistry, Algebra, and Calculus because mastering these basics is essential for learning and mastering subjects at higher levels. The colleges I attended were the University of Texas at Arlington, and North Carolina State University. I love Math and Chemistry and I am passionate about teaching students of every age and in every field of study. I especially like working with elementary students in reading and math. Helping those students who are wrestling with a subject is particularly satisfying. It's an amazing feeling to know that you helped a frustrated student overcome the obstacles and understand the material. I find, in many cases, the problem is not the subject, but the method used to present the subject to the student. The teacher has to tailor the subject to the individual student's needs. This is not something a classroom teacher has the time or ability to do. That's why a tutor can be so valuable in the learning process.
