I completed my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I concurrently earned my certification as a secondary mathematics teacher and taught in NISD. I continue to study to improve my math skills as well as my teaching skills. I was a full time high school teacher until I decided that I loved teaching but got very little opportunity to actually teach in the classroom. I became a private tutor so that I can really spend quality time helping people understand and be successful at math.
Experience
Four years tutoring/teaching experience in public high school (Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Geometry) and 9 years experience as a full time private tutor. I am very patient and can go as fast or slow as you need to go. I will also always push just enough to make sure you keep improving. I also tutor during the summer to help with summer school, test prep, or independent study to prepare for next semester. I do offer discounts for groups. ***I will no longer be available for home visits, but I will attempt to arrange meeting in a mutually convenient location. ***48 hour notice required for cancellations without payment.
