Experience
I am a math major in my senior year, studying at Ottawa University. I began tutoring students in high school through an after school volunteer program. I have also done some freelance tutoring, served as a bilingual aid for Spanish speaking students working on their GED/HSED, and tutored at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, WI. I currently tutor grade school mathematics through calculus. Math has always been my favorite subject to tutor, I have a firm belief that everyone has what it takes to be good in mathematics. My goal is to help make math something that everyone I work with is comfortable using, rather than a topic that people shy away from. My tutoring style is one that builds on what the student has been exposed to, while focusing on reinforcing and expanding the areas the student is confident in. In my free time I enjoy exploring new restaurants, hearing live bands, going out dancing, reading, finding new things I haven't explored, and spending time with my friends.
