Experience
During my undergraduate career I not only tutored individual clients at the college level in science and math courses, but I also worked at a high school as a tutor and mentor in a science classroom for almost two years. While obtaining my graduate degree, I took a number of courses related to Neurobiology and worked in a lab as well. I frequently led group study sessions for my classmates to cover difficult subject matter. While completing my graduate degree, I worked at a local high school in an English II classroom with students struggling to pass the STAAR exam. I have always had a passion for teaching and helping others learn and because of this, I am in the process of becoming a certified high school teacher, and have taken and passed the composite science TExES exam for grades 7-12.
