Hi there. I graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Mathematics in May 2012. My GPA upon graduation was a 3.88. I relocated to San Antonio to begin my career as a teacher with NISD and have been with the district for three years. I am currently studying for the GMAT in hopes of returning to school for a Masters in Professional Accounting.
Experience
For two years while at UT, I tutored undergraduate students in Calculus through the UT Learning Center. I left my job as a tutor to become a learning assistant for a UT Math class. I held office hours, attended class, and graded homework. I also completed the UTeach teacher training program. I am a certified teacher in Mathematics grades 8-12. Post graduation, I relocated to San Antonio and taught Geometry for a year at Brennan High School. Since then, I have relocated to Rawlinson Middle School and am currently on my third year teaching Math 8 and Algebra 1. I love my job, coworkers, and all of my Rawlinson Patriots.

Hobbies
I enjoy learning about Mathematics just as much as I enjoy teaching it. I am very patient, easy to approach, and truly care about the success and progress of my students. When I'm not teaching, planning for my classes, studying for the GMAT, or at the gym I find myself delving into photography and art. I have a good control over the right and left half of my brain. While I am analytical, I enjoy creatively expressing myself.
