I am excited to be your foreign language tutor. Teaching is something I absolutely love to do. While I am well versed in child development and early childhood education, my tutoring experience has been primarily with high school and college students. What I enjoy most is the teaching of language, especially French. The history and literature of France are elements of the French culture that I fell in love with when I visited Paris after graduation from college. Sights and sounds which I will always treasure from that wonderful city are refreshed in my mind when I work with students learning this beautiful language. The style I use in tutoring is conversational, with plenty of positive reinforcement. I want the experiences my students have to be rewarding and encouraging. My goal is to spark their creativity in using a new language to express themselves. I routinely request feedback from students in order to ensure that what they are learning is meaningful to them.My studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio provided great opportunity for me to gain experience in literacy and language acquisition. My BA is in French, and English as a Second Language was my minor.
