Private tutor in San Antonio, TX
UTSA and UTHSCSA - Bachelors, Geography, Teaching and Respiratory Therapy
I have a degree in teaching social studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio. While at the University of Texas Health Science Center, I obtained a B.S. in respiratory therapy which qualified me to teach both patients and their family members how to prevent/manage diseases. I can converse in 22 languages and understand the importance of having good pupil, parent, and staff relationships to make the educational experience as organic and holistic as possible. All disciplines are interconnected, I believe, and relevant to a comprehensive educational foundation that augments extracurricular activities as much as what kids do in school. My many mentors over the years have helped me become adept at building the necessary relationships and properly guiding students. I can help maximize their potential, discover hidden talents, and enhance their educational journey, while inspiring them to excel and do their best. In my career, I've taught first graders and Korean doctors in rural South Korean towns how to speak medical and conversational English. I'm also well versed in elementary level math, Spanish, grammar, literature, American and European history, Earth science, and more. I love to learn and immerse myself in linguistics, literature, and nature when I'm not working or teaching.
