I am 22 years old, and a recent college graduate. I attended the University of Chicago, which ranked in the top five universities in the country. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a specialization in Environmental Studies. Because the University of Chicago is a liberal arts school, despite my specialized major I continued to take all general education classes in my four years at school. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas where I attended Stone Oak Elementary, Barbra Bush Middle School and Ronald Reagan High School. I graduated 17th in my class of 734 at Ronald Reagan High School despite being a four year Varisty Athlete. I graduated summa cum laude, with a GPA of 110.4.

Experience

34 composite on the ACT 35 in Math and Science 2180 on the SAT 760 in Math 750 in Writing I was in the Gifted and Talented math program in middle school so I took Pre-Algebra in 6th grade, Algebra 1 in 7th grade, and Geometry in 8th grade. In middle school, I was awarded Math Student of the Year by my 8th grade math teacher, Mr. Walls. Freshman year in high school I took Algebra 2. Sophomore year I took Pre-Calculus. Junior year in high school I took AP Calculus AB and senior year I took AP Statistics. My junior year in high school, I took an extensive SAT and ACT preparation course, so I am very familiar with strategy and practices necessary to achieve a particular score. Throughout 8th grade and during freshman and sophomore years of high school, I came into school early to help teach math to fellow students. I also have experience tutoring from aiding my younger brother and younger cousins over the years with their math homework.

Hobbies

I played soccer in high school and for the Classics Elite Soccer Academy here in San Antonio. I was a four-year Varsity athlete at the University of Chicago and a captain my senior year. I was a member of the Epsilon Phi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta. I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, and hanging out with friends in my free time. My mother is one of eleven and all of her siblings except one remained in San Antonio so I grew up with a large extended family. Spending a large amount of time with my family and cousins has given me the opportunity to frequently be with kids of all ages. I also babysat during high school and all throughout college. I work well with children and enjoy helping them learn and succeed. I have a genuine love for math and science, as well as tutoring and sharing knowledge.
