The University of Memphis awarded me with a bachelor's of English in creative writing and a masters of arts in TESL. I started teaching students, both in school and privately, in ESP, EFL, and ESL. I've been a TESOL professional for 10 years, working with students to improve their English pronunciation, speaking, grammar, listening, and writing skills. While I can tutor students in all aspects of English, my preference gears toward English grammar and syntax. As the basis for English, it is important to develop a strong grasp of grammar. I believe that teaching is done best when you can simplify complex concepts. Using teaching strategies that are suited to each student's personal needs ensures optimal efficiency in their learning. It is important to me that I create friendly yet professional bonds with each student while helping them learn. By building a relationship and rapport, learning can be more enjoyable. I offer tutoring during the summer months, so students can continue building upon their knowledge. Outside of teaching, I am an avid Netflix viewer. I enjoy reading poetry, mythology, and other types of books. I spend my free time with friends, visiting museums, and practicing my abilities in percussion and flute.
