I am currently pursuing my teaching certification for high school science. I recently successfully completed 2 years of schooling at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry (111 Credit hours, GPA of 3.915) before deciding to follow my passion for education. In May 2015 I graduated Summa Cum Laude (GPA of 3.94) from UTSA with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Experience
Learning is something that I truly cherish and through more than five years of tutoring experience I have had the opportunity to share knowledge and study strategies with many students. I began tutoring in high school and continued throughout college, focusing primarily on math and science. Throughout three years of my undergraduate experience, I worked within UTSA's Supplemental Instruction Program, which provides study sessions for students enrolled in historically difficult courses. While working as part of Supplemental Instruction, I also worked as a personal tutor to help students review course content and improve problem-solving skills. At this time, I manage multiple clients focusing in the areas of chemistry (general, organic, health professions) and biology at both high school and college levels. I enjoy teaching so much that I have decided to continue my education and pursue a teaching certificate for high school science.
