Trinity University - Bachelors, Humanities , Trinity University - Masters, Masters of Arts in Teaching

I teach special education at the elementary school level in Texas. Many of my students have extreme disabilities. I've also worked with students with learning disabilities. I went to Trinity University to earn my humanities degree, and I continued on at the school to earn a masters degree in teaching. I'm certified as an ESL, special education, and elementary education teacher. As a tutor, I can assist students in general elementary school topics, English, reading, study skills and organization, writing, special education, and test preparation. I like to form connections with my students so we build rapport and students feel comfortable learning with me. I believe every student has the capability of learning, but everyone learns differently. For this reason, I figure out how my students learn best and then adjust my approach to help create effective study sessions.
