My goal as a tutor is to go beyond helping a student succeed in a certain subject. I want to give them the tools and techniques that will bring them success in all their classes. I have found the best move toward is to begin with the big concepts in a subject. Then, you can look into the details and study in intervals. This process helps the student be creative and get the most from their efforts. Another aspect of my tutoring is relevance. I incorporate real life examples as much as possible to make the content more appealing. I also work to bring in fun as we work through the content. I know personally the frustration that go with difficult course work and the related studying. That's why I, as a tutor, I offer encouragement and tips for studying to lower the worry and stress. I know that not all concert inhibitors are related just to the material.
